Gianduja
It is said that Gianduja chocolate was born as a response to Napoleon’s Continental Blockade, which limited Piedmont’s access to various goods, including cocoa. By replacing part of the cocoa with hazelnuts—abundant in the region—it became possible to continue chocolate production and create an entirely new, proudly Piedmontese product: Gianduja and the iconic Gianduiotto.
